Ingredients

Wet:

  • 3/4 cup sunflower seed butter or other nut or seed butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil softened (could also use butter or margarine)
  • 3/4 cup palm sugar or other granulated sugar. I replace half the sugar with stevia equivalent
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup favorite non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons chia meal or 1/4 cup flax meal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare an 8 x 8 pan with grease or parchment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the wet ingredients together.
  3. With the mixer running, sprinkle in the dry ingredients. Alternately, mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and then combine with the wet.
  4. Spread the mixture in your prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 20-23 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out just clean.
