Making your own Cuban picadillo couldn’t be any easier, and the whole family will love this unique combination of ingredients!  Gluten free, and served paleo too if you wish, this one skillet dinner is a winner!

This recipe is out of this world.  Do you think I thought that when I originally saw various versions of it floating around?

Nope, most definitely not!

But all the interesting ingredients totally made me curious (kind like my paleo chicken marbella), and as many recipes as were out there…this HAD to be tasty!?

And let me tell you…it did NOT disappoint!

All the unique flavors marry so perfectly in this dish, and the whole family has loved this both times I have made it. Even my picky dad went back for seconds…always a good sign!

Give this a go, it is so easy to make a real, family-pleasing dinner!

Paleo Cuban picadillo serving suggestion?

Rather than serving this over rice, we love this served atop garlic  mashed sweet potatoes.

Boil sweet potatoes until tender and puree in the food processor with allowed butter/ghee, couple cloves garlic, and sea salt!  Or try these baked sweet potatoes!

I bet garlic mashed plantains would be good too!  Or sautéed plantains, drool!

  • My Instant Pot pulled pork uses only two main ingredients!
  • I use almond flour or crushed pork rinds in place of the breadcrumbs in this parmesan crusted pork chops!

I just made this tonight after enjoying your Paleo Pepperoni Pizza Casserole the last couple times I made it. Both dishes are a hit and we’re scouring your site for more recipes now! My husband’s been trying to eat less carbs and your site is full of great food ideas. Thank you so much for the awesome recipes!

This sounds so good, and I would definitely include the cilantro or coriander as we call it in the UK as it’s our favourite herb:-) Thanks for sharing!
